It's my life's work to express those emotions and feelings that can only be conveyed through music. It's how my spirit takes wing and soars to unfathomable, seemingly unreachable heights. I hope that my music does the same for your spirit, too.
Alexandra Sessler, Soprano, divides her time between opera, choral, and voice instruction. In her first appearance with West Edge Opera, she is very happy to be performing the role of Mimi in La Boheme, Summer 2014. She is also scheduled to perform Sara in La Llorona with Opera Cultura, Fall 2014. Her most recent engagements include Soprano in the song cycle opera, Cuentos de Peregrinacion by Hector Armienta. She also recently appeared with Opera Cultura in a recital featuring Zarzuela and new works. Alexandra played Phyllis in Iolanthe, and the title role in Princess Ida and Edith in Pirates of Penzance with Lamplighters Music theatre. Alexandra portrayed Sara in Armienta's La Llorona with Opera Cultura, followed by creating the role of Elizabeth Keckley in Cepelak’s Lincoln and Booth with Golden Gate Opera. She has also appeared as the Dew Fairy in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel and the Aunt in Madama Butterfly with Golden Gate Opera.
